Regional Occupational Medicine Leader – Americas

Strategic Management & Integrated Health Service Delivery + Develop and optimize occupational health (OH) service strategies, standards, including compliance frameworks, medical operation protocols, and emergency response plans. + Oversee the implementation of comprehensive health programs, including: + Occupational health surveillance and medical evaluations + Injury/illness prevention, case management, Leave Coordinator and Workers Compensation, and return-to-work programs + Infectious disease control strategies and outbreak response + Mental health initiatives and employee wellness campaigns + Emergency medical preparedness and onsite response protocols + Ensure alignment of health services with corporate standards/guideline and local business needs. 2. Leadership & Team Development + Lead and manage Americas Health Services professionals across multiple sites, setting up objectives, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management. + Prepare executive-level reports on regional health performance and initiatives. + Develop training programs to enhance team capabilities in occupational health, occupational medicine, emergency response, mental health support, and health promotion/education. + Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and service excellence within the team. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration + Collaborate with multiple stakeholders (e.g. Operations, EHS, HR, Legal, Procurement and business leaders etc.,) to drive policy implementation and align health strategies and initiatives with organization goals. + Report key health service metrics to leadership, providing actionable insights for data-driven decision-making. 4. Case Management & Emergency Response + Support regional HS team in early reporting of systems, case investigations, classification, case management for work-related or possible work-related injuries/illnesses. Provide real time professional support, advice, assistance, and oversight. + Serve as a core member of the corporate pandemic team, overseeing workplace infectious disease risk assessment, contact tracing, developing medical emergency response protocols and delivering medical expertise and action plans. 5. Vendor & Cost Management + Manage third-party Occupational Health service vendors, ensuring quality delivery, cost efficiency, and contract compliance. + Expand external medical resource networks and maintain strategic partnerships with Occupational Health clinics/specialized institutions. 6. Regulatory Compliance + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health, safety, and medical regulations across the Americas (e.g., OSHA, CDC, and country-specific requirements). + Conduct assessments/audits and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards/guidelines. + Maintain confidentiality of health information in accordance with professional codes, statutes and regulations. + Partner with stakeholders to mitigate risks and address compliance gaps. **Qualifications:** + Education: Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing, a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP), a nationally certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Physician (MD) or Public Health. + Certifications: Certified Occupational Health Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Physician, or equivalent credentials is preferred. + Experience: + Minimum 10 years in occupational health, clinical services, or public health, with at least 3 years in a leadership role with multi-facility responsibility preferred. + Current and valid Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Physician (MD). + Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams in industrial or manufacturing settings. + Skills: + In-depth knowledge of Americas-region health regulations (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, CDC guidelines) relative to injury/illness case management + Strong project management, budgeting, and data analysis capabilities. + Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills. + Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is preferred. + Experience working with medical data management system (e.g., Cority) is preferred. + Others: Ability to travel 5-30% of the time.
