Regional Ocean Freight Manager – North

C.H. Robinson is seeking a skilled and experienced **Ocean Freight Manager** to join our North branch offices in Delhi. As the **Ocean Freight Product Manager** , you will be responsible for building strong relationships with carriers to secure space and negotiate competitive pricing. This role will bridge the gap between carriers and commercial teams, driving efforts to win, retain, and grow global forwarding revenues and volumes.
Additionally, you will support key functions such as contract drafting and negotiations, reviewing legal and policy compliance, and managing contract administration and process improvements.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Develops relationships with carriers to effectively procure the space and pricing for the geographical responsibility
+ Creates strategic relationships with ocean carriers
+ Procurement on Ocean Carriers (within geographical responsibility)
+ Negotiates and maintains competitive service contracts
+ Leads communication efforts with ocean carriers and commercial resources to optimize tender strategy
+ Builds relationships and supports teams internally (Branches) and externally (customers)
+ Works with sales and pricing teams to provide carrier data for bids
+ Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ocean export carrier relations and to present market updates to clients
+ Develops carrier relationships to successfully procure necessary space allocations and equipment
+ Provides network with market analysis and communications
+ Creates professional presentations to be shared with network and customers providing carrier and data analysis to communicate risks and propose alternatives
+ Involvement and provide pricing for (within geographical responsibility) RFQ’s
+ Works with the restricted commodities team to review and approve restricted commodities requests for export
+ Engaged in bids for strategy
+ Subject Matter Expert (SME) For matters pertaining to ocean export operations
+ Develop, maintain and manage processes related to contracts submission, review, and retention i.e. forms, templates, terms
+ Identify areas for improvement related to C.H. Robinson’s contract processes and workflows
+ Collect and maintain company contracts, approvals, signatures, and related documents
+ Contribute to general team initiatives, including taking on special projects as necessary
+ Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirement
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
+ Minimum 10 years of product management experience in the logistics industry
+ Minimum 5 years of experience managing Ocean Freight
+ Ability to travel up to 20% (within geographical responsibility)
Preferred:
+ Post Graduation/ Master’s in business administration from an accredited college or university
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
+ Customer focused with proven flexibility & adaptability to product and customer needs
+ High emotional intelligence, situational leadership, and coaching techniques
+ Understanding of financial statements and key performance metrics
