About the role
The Regional Outage Lean Manager (ROLM) is responsible for improving outage execution at our 11 South Region facilities through applying Lean Manufacturing and Project Management tools and techniques to optimize outage preparation, enhance outage communication and decision making, and ultimately to ensure completion of daily outage activities. This position is based out of Lee County Florida
This person will be focused on specific outages, prioritized by risk, and will work closely with the Regional Team to understand, forecast, track and improve the financial P&L performance and EBITDA contributions of their assigned outages. They play a key role in identifying and eliminating waste, driving continuous improvement on outage activities, and ensuring an On Time Delivery and One Time Start Up. They establish & champion best practices in outage management for major maintenance and capital investment projects, aligned with Reworld's corporate maintenance initiatives. The ROLM will assist the facility maintenance managers / supervisors and their teams. The ROLM has excellent organizational and leadership abilities that demonstrate a good understanding of foundational maintenance activities that assure a high level of uptime of facility equipment.
Responsibilities:
Outage/Project Management
Conduct pre-outage preparation meetings with the site Leadership team to ensure the plant is setup for a successful outage Take on the role of off-shift outage manager to ensure 24/7 coverage in concert with the site Maintenance Manager/Supervisors; This role will typically work evenings through early mornings, and will require 80% travel throughout the southeast Support outage scheduling for work tracking and outage meeting protocols for best communication Developing Outage execution standard around “Zone” management by logical segregation of work areas and developing the “Zone Lead” concept Oversee, audit, and provide coaching for outage execution to meet work management standards, using industry best practices for industrial maintenance Leverage interplant cooperation identifying and developing key personnel to support active outages within region Participate in contractor selection, development, and performance evaluation Assist in the Long Term Maintenance Planning meetings for area facilities Participate in Facility Maintenance budgeting
Requirements:
7 years of experience in industrial maintenance management.
3 years of experience in managing Outages / Turn-arounds
Project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Certification in Lean Manufacturing
Strong facility process understanding via P&IDs, drawings, and specifications.
Knowledge of required and/or former use of following are desirable:
Detail work/job planning and work hazard analysis.
Industrial facility maintenance practices.
Knowledge of industrial codes and standards ex: ASME, NBIC, OSHA, NFPA.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially with Excel (spreadsheets, modeling, and pivot tables), Outlook, and Access.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
Safety focused and OSHA knowledgeable.
