Join us. **REGIONAL PATIENT SAFETY DIRECTOR** **LIVE** **What you will do** In this vital role you will provide direction and leadership to a group of Amgen European region safety officers focusing on compliance with global pharmacovigilance requirements. You will be responsible for devising and delivering strategic solutions and executing on functional plans within the region. You will represent the safety team in global and regional cross functional initiatives. The role is responsible for building strong and effective stakeholder relationships within the region both internally and externally. + Develop and implement International Safety operational strategy within the context of Global Patient Safety and Amgen's overall long-term business strategy + Lead a team responsible for local safety within the assigned Region including goal setting, resource and budget planning and allocation + Participate in key management bodies within the region + Maintain awareness of significant safety legislative changes within region to contribute to impact assessment and potential change management activities + Participate or lead cross-functional initiatives as safety representative particularly for activities affecting affiliates + Contribute to consultation, planning and implementation or modification of global/regional safety systems/tools/processes + Development, implementation and ongoing optimization of regional / local safety infrastructure and staff development. + In co-ordination with Amgen Regulatory staff, interact and negotiate with key regulatory agency officials for PV. Advocate for Amgen/GPS by building strong relationships with key external stakeholders including professional bodies + Participate in planning, oversight, and maintenance of Functional Service Provider services as appropriate **Join our team** You will join international safety team is part of the wider Global Patient Safety (GPS) organisation and responsible for effective implementation of global Pharmacovigilance (PV) standards at the country level as well as ensuring compliance with local and regional pharmacovigilance legislation.
