Brief Description:
The Regional Quality Manager oversees the quality function at Ulterra's manufacturing facilities in Fort Worth, TX, USA, and Leduc, AB, Canada, ensuring adherence to quality standards, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. This role involves managing Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives, training personnel, analyzing performance metrics, and driving compliance with API/ISO certifications.
The Regional Quality Manager works closely with the Senior Director of Quality to implement strategies that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Detailed Description:
Collaborate with the Senior Director of Quality to implement, maintain, and improve Ulterra’s QMS in alignment with customer requirements and API/ISO standards.Lead and support Facility Quality Control Managers, providing coaching, training, and resources to uphold and enhance facility Quality Control programs.Develop and deliver QMS training programs for Ulterra personnel, ensuring comprehensive understanding and compliance.Assist with managing QMS certification programs (API Spec Q1, ISO 9001) for North American facilities, ensuring all requirements are met.Oversee the QMS internal auditing program, ensuring audits are conducted effectively and corrective actions are implemented.Manage the Supplier Quality Audit program, assessing supplier performance and ensuring alignment with company quality standards.Define and monitor facility-specific quality performance KPIs, analyzing trends to drive improvement initiatives.Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Lead the Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions programs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.Ensure compliance with document and record control procedures at North American facilities, maintaining accurate and accessible documentation.Perform data analysis on QMS processes to identify areas for enhancement and achieve quality objectives.Represent the quality function during audits and customer interactions, demonstrating Ulterra's commitment to excellence.Travel between regional facilities as required to support quality programs and maintain strong cross-site collaboration.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in a managerial role within quality assurance or quality control, preferably in manufacturing or oil and gas sectors.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee and develop teams of up to 20 employees.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other data processing tools.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.Experience managing QMS programs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Familiarity with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.Ability to travel to regional facilities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Training and/or experience with API and ISO QMS certifications, including API Spec Q1 and ISO 9001.Experience conducting internal audits and supplier quality audits.Oil and gas industry experience.
Additional Details:
The Regional Quality Manager must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone and other office equipment.
