We are seeking a Bank Regional Registered Nurse to join our team mainly supporting our homes based in Southall and West Drayton.

Key Requirements:

Ideal candidate should have extensive experience in care and trained with basic life support, catheter male and female, PEG and RIG Tube feeding, and end of life care. Use of electronic care plans, E-mars with some auditing experience. Preferably have multi-site experience and tracheostomy care experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The registered nurse should:

To assist the Senior Nurse/Manager in assessing, implementing and evaluating a high standard of resident’s care. Assume leadership responsibilities in motivating the staff to: Achieve a high standard of care. Carry out appropriate skills for the job. Direction and support. Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes. Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy. Ensure that there is adequate staff cover in absence of the Manager. Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements. Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g. washing and dressing and toileting. Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort. To deputise for the Manager. Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated. Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager. Assist with the recruitment and selection process of new staff of all grades. Carry out Staff Induction Programme. Assessment of perspective clients/residents. Completion of the duty rota as necessary. Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager. Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff. Promote and maintain the good reputation of the home. Comply with the legislative standards of the Care Standards Act. Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets.
