Regional Reliability Engineer
Corteva Agriscience
**Position Summary**
The Regional Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving reliability improvement initiatives across a network of manufacturing sites within their assigned region. This role supports the development and implementation of standardized engineering tools and methodologies focused on asset performance, failure elimination, and cost-effective maintenance strategies. The role also plays a critical part in supporting OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement by identifying and addressing chronic equipment issues, performance losses, and systemic reliability risks. The Regional Reliability Engineer collaborates closely with site-level teams, regional leadership, and global program owners to build technical capability and deliver measurable reliability results.
**Key Responsibilities**
Asset Reliability & Engineering
o Lead deployment of reliability tools including Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO)
o Conduct bad actor analysis, asset criticality reviews, and strategy development for high-priority equipment
o Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life
o Develop asset management plans, including preventive maintenance, spare parts, and service strategies.
**OEE Performance Support**
o Act as a key technical resource in improving OEE performance at site and regional levels
o Use OEE data to identify chronic losses (availability, performance, quality) caused by equipment design, condition, or maintenance strategy
o Partner with operations, planners, and the systems team to validate root causes and drive equipment-level corrective actions
o Participate in OEE improvement projects, focused on eliminating top loss categories linked to reliability
o Ensure that downtime tracking, loss classification, and bad actor programs are technically sound and aligned with corporate standards
**Coaching & Capability Building**
o Mentor site reliability and maintenance resources in applying reliability principles and tools
o Support the deployment of training related to PM optimization, failure analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance
o Facilitate cross-site knowledge sharing on equipment-specific learnings and successful reliability practices
**Program Implementation & Support**
o Support rollout of reliability initiatives and standards within the region
o Partner with the Global Reliability Engineering Leader to align site activities with strategic priorities
o Assist in the implementation of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and precision maintenance programs
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
o Work with site maintenance, production, EHS, and engineering teams to align asset strategies with safety, cost, and performance goals
o Collaborate with Maintenance Specialists to ensure reliability data is reflected in work order history and condition monitoring systems
o Provide reliability input during equipment upgrades, redesigns, or major capital investments
**Qualifications**
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related technical discipline). Mechanical Engineering preferred.
o Fluent English is a requirement
o +5 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or operations roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
o Strong knowledge of reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA, Weibull), PM program design, and equipment performance metrics
o Experience applying statistics and statistical analysis techniques to support problem-solving, performance monitoring, and reliability improvement efforts.
o Familiarity with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) frameworks and production loss analysis
o Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and PdM tools (vibration, ultrasound, oil analysis, etc.)
o CMRP, CRE, or equivalent certification preferred
o Excellent communication, facilitation, and data analysis skills
o Multisite or regional support experience preferred
**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**
o % reduction in chronic equipment failures
o MTBF / MTTR trends for targeted equipment
o % of OEE losses addressed through reliability-led actions
o Completion and effectiveness of RCAs and PM optimizations
o Site capability development and tool adoption rates
