Job DescriptionCintas is seeking a Regional Safety and Health Coordinator II. Responsibilities include providing group and location management with guidance and support regarding the effective administration of safety and health programs; driving management efforts to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, reducing vehicle accidents and compliance with OSHA standards; driving efforts to obtain and maintain recognition under the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program; serving as a corporate safety team resource for the group executive; developing and maintaining safety and health compliance programs, training materials; educating assigned locations on safety and health policies, procedures and best practices; conducting and reviewing inspections of assigned facilities to identify potential OSHA compliance issues; coordinating and reviewing inspections performed by other safety team partners; monitoring and holding group/location management accountable for completion of corrective action plans developed to address compliance or management system issues; ensuring effective implementation of the Cintas safety and health management system; identifying assigned locations that have the potential to successfully pursue VPP Star recognition and supporting candidate locations throughout the VPP process; monitoring group safety performance as reflected in monthly safety analytics reports; briefing group executives regarding successes and opportunities for improvement; establishing and maintaining effective communication to ensure relevant safety and health information is provided to location management and partners on a timely basis.
Skills/QualificationsRequired
Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years' safety experience or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years' full-time safety experience (2 years' Cintas Operations experience may be considered the equivalent of one year full-time safety experience) Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices Experience in recommending, developing and implementing safety and health compliance strategies and management systems Ability to travel up to 60% of the time Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and intranet/internet
