Regional Sales Director
Classification: Exempt
Summary/Objective
The Regional Sales Director will oversee all sales activities within a defined territory to grow new business. A successful Regional Sales Director is a self-starter and creative thinker that will directly affect the revenue growth of Paymentus.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities
Perform daily outbound calls and achieve monthly performance targets
Create and execute a sales plan
Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, and building rapport
Prospect new potential accounts and setup meetings
Demo services and become a subject matter expert
Manage growth of sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting
Leverage internal tools and networking to drive new business.
Calculate and present pricing
Prepare and present Agreement for services
Collaborate with Client Solutions, Product and Marketing teams to ensure knowledge of latest and upcoming services being developed.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility or direct reports.
Education and Experience
3-5 years minimum of Outside Sales Experience, preferably within service or software sales, strong technology services, similar to payroll, accounts payable/receivable, or customer information services.
Proven ability to identify, target, present, demonstrate and close prospective customers
Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment that is motivated by revenue growth
Capable of presenting a technology solution to all levels within an organization including Executive and C-level
Proven track record of success and growth year over year
Must be able to travel overnight, and have valid driver’s license with no major driving violations.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional business office environment or home office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel to meet with clients or potential clients will be required on occasion. Travel requirement is up to 5-25%; however, travel may be greater or less than this percentage during certain periods of the year.
