Regional Sales Manager

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Create and execute a sales revenue growth strategy Able to interact with Distribution Senior Management. Support of rep field sales, as needed, to create custom part numbers. Rep, Distribution, customer product presentations and general distributor FAE trainings. Build & Enhance Coherent brand name and form strong customer relationships. Partner with Regional Sales Managers, especially on West Coast, to support the large revenue opportunities. Must be willing to work from home and work in off hours to either communicate with Asia or as a customer urgent request may dictate. Tasks consist of: Early-stage FAE work in terms of designs, recommended replacements, initial FA discussions

Education & Experience

BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.

Skills

Passionate about customer service and a self-starter. Able to work independently, remotely and with others around the world in different time zones.  Distribution account management or sales experience preferred. Proficient in Oracle and Salesforce or equivalent database management systems. Proficient at Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Super user preferred. Undergraduate technical degree preferred. Background in telecommunication / optical networking / fiber optics/ networking preferred. Languages – English is mandatory, Mandarin and/or Spanish may be helpful. Professional image, personable, team player, always treats everyone with respect and dignity
