Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.Overview This role is responsible for providing the sales team with the leadership, direction and resources to ensure sales targets are achieved and to liaise with NSM/Business Unit Manager and Marketing personnel to ensure short- and long-term sales strategies are applied by the team. ResponsibilitiesCore job Direct the activities of the Sales team for the achievement of short- and long-term business objectives, increased profit and market share within the Vascular portfolio. Translate sales data/analysis into day to day working sales and marketing strategy for the relevant Business Unit product portfolios and driving these through the sales force. Ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets with Key Accounts by identifying opportunities and gaining new business while maintaining existing business. Maintain contact with identified Key Opinion Leaders within the region to increase AV brand. High level of training and industry knowledge to be maintained with all members of the team. Develop and manage the expense budgets within plan by allocating monies appropriately and regularly monitoring performance. Manage the people issues e.g. recruitment, retention, development plans, succession planning, training etc. Actively seek, identify, analyze, and present new business opportunities and improvement ideas to senior management on an ongoing basis. You may be required to work outside of your ordinary hours of work to participate in essential training, team meetings, customer events or trade shows/conferences. These events may take place on an evening and/or weekend. People Management and Development Lead, develop and manage an effective, engaged and motivated team. Maintain a supportive, collaborative working environment in line with Abbott core values. Address any conflict or potential issues sensitively and as they arise and in accordance with policies and procedures. Coordinate and oversee employee training and development and equipping with the resources available at Abbott to support their career. Review, assess and action requests such as leave approvals and expense management, ensuring company policy is adhered to.
