QC Conveyors is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, this position handles the management of all equipment sales attributed to their assigned key end user accounts. The Regional Sales Manager is a member of the Sales Team and collaborates with the other functional teams (Inside Sales, Channel Management, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Operations) on executing company strategies, meeting budgets and company planned processes. This person must show hands-on leadership in unison with the Vice President of Sales on implementing strong cultural beliefs and values throughout the organization. This person will have a “hunter” sales mentality. Focus is on new business growth with distribution and direct contact with existing and new product introductions.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned
Conduct product demonstrations for customers (distributors, end users & integrators) at customer location and when needed at company HQ. Attend regional and national trade shows. Make regular sales calls via in-person, internet, or other effective methods. Coordinate activities with the distribution sales team to target and penetrate new and existing accounts. Prospect and develop new direct accounts. Develop integrator relationships. Respond to customer by showing existing applications and supplying prompt quotations and application layouts. Manage cross-functional sales activities with the Channel Management, Engineering, Application, Customer Service, Operations, and Marketing Departments. Assist in forecasting sales and product mix within these segments of our business. Quote price, delivery, credit terms and prepare sales contracts. Be involved in product simplification and elimination of costly outdated methods. Monitor the region’s performance to plan and forecast product sales. Responsible for finding and developing relationships with key decision makers within each account. Effectively communicate, analyze opportunities, and visit accounts on a regular basis. Establish and maintain contacts with current and new direct customers. Utilize company CRM (Salesforce). Carry out the responsibilities of this position in a manner allowing concentration upon safety, quality, and productivity. Ensures company policies and procedures are reviewed often and notifies the Vice President of Sales when such policies or procedures may need to be revised to increase work efficiency in the department. Control cost of sales expenses for projects by proper planning and scheduling. Assist the Marketing team and New Product Development launching new products.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree EXPERIENCE: 10 years min total sales experience in B2B in an industrial or automation environment. 5 years working at a regional level managing multiple sales channels such as direct, distribution and integration. CRM systems experience and a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of company personnel. Must be able to work independently as well collaborate with the sales team support departments. Exceptional organizational skills needed. Live with the regional states of: Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin & Minnesota. Live within a general proximity to a major airport.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to an eight-hour shift; bend, twist and reach with arms and hands, dexterity with fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls. May occasionally need to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Position will require specific vision ability such as close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Extensive travel is required, often via commercial airline carrier. Office & factory or facility shop floor.
