ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions provides end-users (healthcare facilities, schools, universities, military, commercial buildings, etc.) with unsurpassed security and life-safety solutions and the essential support services (LEED consultation, code compliance, access control system integration, product research and selection, specification writing services, technical support, etc.) to ensure well-functioning doorway systems in the commercial building industry. This is all accomplished by combining the strengths of industry-leading door and hardware brands.
We are currently seeking a Sales Representative for the Central Region in Ontario Canada.
Job Summary
The Regional Sales Representative generates sustainable growth throughout the region by developing all distributors to promote and sell our door hardware and hollow metal solutions.
You will report directly to the Regional Sales Director and will oversee architectural hardware, hollow metal and electro-mechanical sales within Southwestern Ontario. Contract Hardware Distributors and Wholesalers are the essential areas of focus in addition to driving brand awareness to others influencers within the region.
Key Responsibilities
Establish relationships with customers Develop plans on how to establish account relationships and develop a business plan for each account Identify new product/business opportunities based on customer needs Create sales per assigned accounts that exceed budget plans Produce and follow-up on quotations, leads and conducting frequent sales presentations Assist management in developing a sales direction and market strategy Monitor competitor activity in each account and ensure that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated Be responsive and attentive to all customer needs, and help resolve any issues or concerns Provide one-on-one or group training Attend trade shows and travel Provide accurate activity reporting using available corporate reporting tools Work collaboratively with other team members, end-users and specification goals Other projects as assigned
Education and Experience
Five (5) years sales experience, preferably in the door security or related industry Post-secondary education in a related field Experience selling opening solutions as a consultant
Key Competencies
Excellent planning, selling, marketing, contract management, decision-making and creative problem solving skills Excellent negotiation skills a with sales leadership qualities Experience building business relationships with customers Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to analyze and identify sales opportunities, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues An ability to understand a customer's issues/needs and then translate this to action plan Experience with electromechanical hardware and hollow metal are definite assets
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of sample and display material for sales presentations Ability to travel in within the assigned territory up to 90% of the time Ability to travel across Canada and occasionally into the U.S. (for training & trade shows) Valid drivers’ license in good standing
