Regional SQE/MOC Coordinator

Position Description

Primary Purpose: Working with the regional manager, will lead the Midwest Regional initiative in developing a mature SQE culture where employees employ safety, quality, and environmental compliance every day on every task they perform.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Assessing, validating and implementation of SQE programs; facilitate 14-point plan regional review program.Support GM in developing weekly SQE Regional call and Bi-weekly GM/VP SQE call reports.Tracks, reports on, and provides follow-up on near miss/great catch and variance reporting in the MWR. Works with regional management team to develop and distribute safety talks, safety flashes, and policy changes as required, based on lessons learned from tracked data.Participates in all incident reviews and development of root causes and corrective actions designed to mitigate/eliminate re-occurrece of incident.Management of change (MOC) coordination - manage all change requests (except for covered process MOCs) in the Midwest Region to include training, implementation, review, and addressing with system or process related issues. Perform follow-up with stakeholders for completion of MOCs on a timely basis.Develop and maintain regional MOC matrix for use in determining applicability and distribution requirements for various MOCs submitted in the Midwest Region.Assist with the management of Maximo for PHMSA compliance records by analyzing and filing KM records, preparing, indexing records, determining the disposition of specific records, and dispose of unnecessary records.Assist regional management team with developing and tracking regional KPIs.Ensures appropriate management systems necessary for operational excellence (written procedures, job hazard analyses, personal protective equipment, equipment checklists, etc.) are established and in use.Monitors and supports MBWA with departmental managers, and schedules and leads field walkthroughs with Bi-Weekly SQE Committee members, for purposes of identifying potential unsafe operational hazards within the facility.Discuss changes and/or proposed changes within the facility that may have an impact regarding safety to operations/maintenance activities.Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Must have high level of initiative.Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Ability to comfortably interact with employees at all levels.Conduct interactive meetings both in-person and virtual.Must have ability to effectively organize, prioritize and plan daily work.Must have ability and willingness to work with a team, take directions from supervisor(s), with a high degree of attention to details, follow work rules and adhere to established work schedules.Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers. Possess organization and planning skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.Must be capable of developing and revising practical and effective company procedures, standards, processes, and best practices.Must be accountable and manage activities to keep required work schedules, focus attention to details, and follow policies and procedures.Must have strong analytical skills and logical thought processes.Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment, consistently maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor / attitude with co-workers, contractors, customers, and regulatory agencies.Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.Physical demands:
Must be capable for sitting/standing for extended periods of time.Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment.Working conditions:
Must be willing and able to work in a corporate office environment.Must be willing and able to work in the outside in the plant environment, in all types of climatic conditions.Travel to other field or corporate locations in Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio required depending on nature of ongoing work activities.Must be willing and able to carry a cell phone and respond as needed.Subject to PHMSA compliant drug testing program.
