Regional Supply & Inventory Planner EMEA

We are looking for our future Regional Supply & Inventory Planner EMEA located in the Netherlands.


Let's talk about the role :

As a Regional Supply Planner specializing in Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE), you will serve as the linchpin between demand forecasting, product supply planning, and inventory management. Your role is critical in ensuring the efficient flow of products through the supply chain to meet customer demands while optimizing inventory levels and production capacities.

Let's talk about responsibilities :

Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE): Own and execute the S&OE process, translating demand forecasts into actionable production plans, ensuring alignment with sales targets, production capabilities, and inventory constraints.

Demand Forecasting & Analysis: Attend in Market Demand reviews and become very familiar with our products, customers, and all strategic initiatives.

Product Supply Planning (Make): Work closely with product supply planning to help develop feasible production schedules that meet customer delivery requirements whilst optimizing resource utilization and minimize changeovers.

Product Supply Planning (Buy): Own the planning, ordering and inventory management of products we directly purchase from 3rd party suppliers. In addition, collaborate with warehousing, distribution & logistics on inbound and outbound issues.  

Inventory Management: Work with Demand Planning team to implement inventory strategies such as safety stock, replenishment policies, and inventory optimization models to ensure product availability while minimizing carrying costs. Ensure inventory level and flow optimized according to business objectives.

Order Fulfillment & Customer Service: Plan fulfillment flow to ensure optimization, monitor order fulfillment performance metrics such as on-time delivery, fill rates, and order accuracy. Proactively address any issues or bottlenecks in the order fulfillment process to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the supply chain, such as raw material shortages, transportation delays, or production constraints, and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on operations. Monitor external factors such as geopolitical events, weather disruptions, and market fluctuations that may affect supply chain stability.

Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to S&OE processes, inventory management, and production efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions to drive operational excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, procurement, distribution, and production to align on short-term supply plans and address any issues or constraints that may arise. Participate in cross functional projects as the regional supply subject matter expert. Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Let's talk about qualifications, skills and experience :

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations research, logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., APICS CPIM) is a plus.

5 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Proficiency in supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, o9) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modeling.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and drive data-driven decisions.
