Job Description:
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.
VIE Main Requirements:
- European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old.
- Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any.
- Fluent in English.

A VIE for a “Regional Sustainability Representative (h/f)” has arisen within Airbus Helicopters Poland in Lodz.
This VIE can start in April 2025 and will last 24 months.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Tasks & accountabilitiesYour main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Regional Sustainability RepresentativeScope: Airbus activities
Ensure monitoring and analysis of national regulations, sustainability intelligence w/ geo-political context too (PESTEL),
Embody sustainability locally, support the implementation of the initiatives locally and report the status,
Anticipate and assess applicability of future environmental and social policies and regulations,
Support teams for CSRD needs of reporting,
Coordinate the identification of the national & regional sustainability Risks & Opportunities,
Support local representatives, functions and divisions at national/regional level and coordinate with local functions,
Contribute to the definition of sustainability and the environment management system policies applicable at national level, ensure implementation and creation of relevant documentation and support the implementation of sustainability policies and requirements in the management system,
Define/propose/implement local community impact projects and volunteering opportunities for employees and push the +impact platform
Create and deploy employee awareness solutions and tools on sustainability topics,
Challenge mindset and culture, promote sustainability initiatives and bring into focus local projects,
Support internal and external communication.
SAF&H2Scope: Airbus activities
Based on the group ID cards template, capture and keep up-to-date regional capacities, pathways, usage per country & main customers, emerging SAF policies around the globe help structuring SAF markets
Analyse levers to promote the use of SAF towards our customers incl. Defense customers
Cooperation Development Support & Sustainability ChampionScope: Airbus Helicopters activities
Support Poland country strategic plan with sustainability topics and main campaign for 2025-2026. Be part of the ICTs and support/identify international cooperation projects including partnerships with universities, R&T, suppliers related to sustainability topics
Lead the regional strategy: Adapt the Global Business sustainability strategy into actionable plans for the region, prioritizing initiatives at both country and regional level.
Capture countries' strategies (trends, population interests, government positioning, etc.) and connect them with sustainability priorities, liaising with the group (Poland, UK, Turkey etc.). Identify key campaigns (support ICTs) and strategic customers.
Foster Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF): Advocate SAF usage and Book&Claim mechanism in helicopter operations to reach 10% SAF usage in customers operations by 2030.
Activate Airbus Group network: Work closely with Airbus Group teams (including SAF ambassadors, Heads of Sustainability, Nat Reps), Sustainability Champions network to accompany our customers in their roadmaps. Link with SAF producers and suppliers.
Provide regional updates: Consolidate, on a time basis report, stakeholders data (CO2 emissions - fuel consumption (scope 3) and SAF usage, social impact (impact of AH on stakeholders… ) and analyze to assess market needs and propose regional development opportunities.
Follow-up on actions launched: Join forces with Market Operations (EBD) on the different actions launched at regional level in accordance with the plan defined.

Required skillsYou have the following skills and experience:
You have successfully completed studies in ESG topics, business management, strategy (some professional experience in project execution is a plus but not a must have)
You are able to understand technical complexities and risks of our projects
You can anticipate needs and issues in support of the Project Manager and act as co-pilot
You have excellent communication and facilitation skills
You feel comfortable working across functions, in international teams and environments, and influencing and persuading stakeholders amid conflicting priorities
You master typical office applications and are generally well-versed in digital tools
You have a very good command of English (written and spoken)
