Position Summary:
The role of the Regional Team Manager is to support the National Transport Manager in the effective and compliant running of the UK transport operation. This includes managing the day to day operational activity to meet customer and cost demands, ensuring SLA’a and KPI’s are met and/or exceeded. The individual will hold an international or national CPC and be named on the relevant o license with the responsibility to visit UK locations on a routine basis ensuring requirements are fully met.
An integral part of this role is the leadership of team members across the transport department. As a strong capable leader, your experience as a professional people manager will enable you to effectively motivate a team both onsite and remotely, ensuring they work to the highest professional standards. A strong and capable decision maker who can pull on experience to make sound judgement calls and implement continuous improvement initiatives in a controlled, measured and clearly communicated way. Collaboration is key too, with strong allegiances to our Warehousing team members, including the distribution center managers.
Alongside people management skills, the individual is compliance savvy in line with MHRA regulations, GDP regulations, GDPR requirements and driving laws.
