Regional Technical Services Representative

We are currently hiring for a remote based Regional Technical Services Representative. In this role you will be responsible to provide technical assistance and training, product claim investigation and sales support in an assigned sales region as well as assist the Technical Services Department and R&D with various projects nationwide.  This is a very hands-on role where you will work directly with our customers in the field and on job sites in a variety of technical and professional settings.  

Responsibilities 

Visit large job-sites for the purpose of trouble shooting, recommendations, or training. Analyze and process product claims. Submit job-site reports, pictures and videos to include the topics discussed, recommendations, and follow-up needed.   Assist the Technical Services Department/R&D with field trials; perform competitive analysis and special projects. Create/conduct training sessions; assist in specific product training on jobsites; create and conduct training seminars of product education to promote sales Conduct architectural presentations; write technical correspondence / specifications and field technical inquires by phone. Make technical recommendations and/or assist/write proprietary specifications. Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations to maintain a current understanding of the industry and assess how MAPEI can stay ahead in the industry. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications 

Two years experience or the equivalent of related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent  Bachelor's (B.A.) degree and/or equivalent from four-year College or University, preferred. Knowledge of MAPEI products. Excellent written and oral communication skills when dealing with customers, internal and external Understand and apply industry standards applicable to the products being tested including but not limited to ANSI, ISO, and ASTM. Requires a valid state drivers license, insurance and a good driving record.  You must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50# unassisted and perform general physical duties required with light construction projects. The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.  Use Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as using the Internet.
