Regional Process/Throughput Engineer

 

Pay Rate:

$100,700 - $134,300

 

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

This role will work closely with a variety of different groups and departments within NAC, but will report directly to the Region General Manager with functional reporting to the Area Manufacturing Manager.

 

The Regional Throughput Engineer’s responsibility is to increase the overall productivity of the region by analyzing facility performance utilizing key metrics: Corrugator MSF/hour, Converting MSF/hour, maintenance budget, and electrical & mechanical downtime. The Regional Throughput Engineer will also have influence in assisting the region on capital allocation decisions and defining implementation strategies.

 

To effectively impact performance, the Regional Throughput Engineer

should have an understanding of effective throughput management with ability to lead & speak to troubleshooting efforts, familiarity with maintenance budgets, and comfort working with key suppliers & creating influence without authority.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

BS/BA in Engineering; preferred Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial 3+ Years of manufacturing experience Experience in a heavy industrial environment in operations and/or maintenance Corrugated packaging manufacturing experience preferred Support safety as a core value Support the region’s efforts to achieve consistent reliability results Develop solutions to chronic repetitive failures by analyzing data; be the owner of the region chronic reliability list & lead efforts to provide priority resolutions to these issues Perform root cause failure analysis on major reliability incidents to identify & correct physical, human, and latent root causes especially for chronic reliability problems Support & provide expertise and capital projects Identify capital solutions to reliability opportunities Provide support for capital project development & implementation, include spare parts identification, purchase & inventory management Coordinate and review vendor equipment, installation and other discipline drawings for operability and maintainability input Assist in checkout and start-up activities, conduct post completion audits of all capital projects in your region Provide support for budgeting cycle targeted at delivering year over year savings Ability to assist & assure both monthly waste and msf/hr plans are effective and being implemented Identify bottlenecks within plants and aid in development of plans to increase machine speed
