Will require additional on-site requirements that may occur throughout the year.

Desired candidate:

Prior Trauma Registrar experience

Coding experience.

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the trauma registry and required data submissions to both State and National databases.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Completes daily analysis of medical records for trauma patients, determines eligibility for registry reporting and maintains the trauma registry.Maintains, utilizes and communicates current knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and standards, with regard to trauma care.Demonstrates a thorough understanding, accurate interpretation, and knowledge of the standards that regulate trauma registry activities.Completes daily analysis of medical records for trauma patients and determines eligibility for registry reporting.Maintains, utilizes and communicates current knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and standards, with regard to trauma care.Performs queries for basic monthly reports from the trauma registry database.Utilizes various software systems to perform analysis, graphs, and compile data and reports in format that is user friendly.Maintains collaborative relationships providers, agencies and internal departments.Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

Associates degree in Applied Science or related field


EXPERIENCE

Two years' experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.Frequent keyboard use/data entry.Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.Rare climbing.
