Job Description

Provides direct client services under the supervision of a BCBA or BCBA-D. The Behavior Technician is responsible for the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) protocols. Assists in the orientation of new staff and performs clinical duties as indicated for specific projects. Completes administrative and operational duties to aid in managing staff schedule and other clinic needs.

Experience

1 year of experience providing direct implementation of ABA protocols with developmentally and/or behaviorally challenged children

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of normal/abnormal growth and development throughout the age continuumExperience with training caregivers or staffExperience with documentation in an electronic medical recordExperience with supervision of novice staffMCPP trainer certificationExperience with Microsoft Office

Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field (Psychology, Education, ABA, Behavioral Health

Certification Summary

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employmentCITI training within 30 days of employmentMarcus Crisis Prevention Program (MCPP) training within 30 days of employmentCurrent Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification

Job Responsibilities

Provides direct client care utilizing applied behavior analysis protocols under the supervision of a BCBA or BCBA-D.Creates and coordinates daily staff assignments.Communicates case-related activities with team using written and verbal communication.Accurately collects behavior data during direct observations using data collection systems.Assists in the monitoring (e.g., data collection and data entry) and adjustment of routine behavioral assessments and protocols.Utilizes safe and appropriate handling, management, and guidance procedures when transporting or working with clients.Leads the orientation of new staff/student training programs.Assists with caregiver training.Disseminates protocols and revisions, manages protocols and reviews and reviews protocols prior to distribution.Completes daily chart documentation to include EOD email, graphing and EPIC medical chart documentationAttends team supervision meetings and required trainings.Lead therapist on clinical cases (under supervision of BCBA or BCBA-D).Supports a team of RBTs in the implementation of correct protocolsInforms performance reviews of RBTs but does not deliver the evaluation itself.
