Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) 

$15,000 Sign On Bonus for eligible experienced Techs!

$10,000 for Student Loan Repayments

As a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at Northwest Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Summary:

The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is responsible for the technical management of patients undergoing cardiovascular or interventional radiology.  The RCIS utilizes expertise in performing hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring, assists the physician in the scrub position during invasive procedures, and provides radiological support during invasive procedures according to unit, facility and CHS guidelines.  They provide Didactic and clerical training to employees and CVT students.  Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: adults (18-64) and geriatric (over 64 years). 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:

Education: Required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Experience: Preferred: One (1) year Cath Lab or Special procedures.

Skills: Ability to follow written and oral instructions and established procedures.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: CRT license from the State of AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE),

American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification.

ACLS certification within one (1) year of employment in the position.


Preferred: ARRT

 

About our Cath Lab :

The Cardiac Catheterization Department is composed of three catheterization labs as well as one hybrid room and Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) where our patients are prepped for procedures and recovered post procedure. Our team works with high risk, high acuity patients and pride ourselves in superb outcomes. 

Bedside procedures such as Trans esophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Cardioversions (CV) are performed in COU. 

About the job:

Cardiac catheterizations and PCI procedures, high risk procedures.

Impella or IABP protected "Left Main" PCI, CTO, lithotripsy therapy, rotational atherectomy, and laser technology are utilized in our labs.

As a STEMI Receiving Center and a Chest Pain Accredited Program, you will have the opportunity to care for the emergent STEMI patients.

Additionally, we do PFO closures, as well as thrombectomies. The ability of extracting a pulmonary embolism is new technology that has proven extremely successful for our patients. Interventional Radiology is an exciting addition to the services we can provide our community.

We implant devices such as permanent pacemakers (PPM), bi V ICD ( Intra-cardiac defibrillators ) as well as advanced monitoring systems.
