  Brighten Life Home Health in Saint George is hiring a Registered Dietitian to join our amazing team!   PRN $35.00 - $40.00 /hr

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting dietetic education for nursing personnel and other personnel. The Registered Dietitian will function as a member of the interdisciplinary team with expertise in nutritional care.

Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited institution with a major in foods, nutrition, or dietetics, and successful completion of an internship or equivalent experience preferred Must have successfully completed courses in methods and principles of teaching Must have membership and registration in the American Dietetic Association Must be licensed by appropriate state(s), if applicable Responsibilities Must understand hospice philosophy and issues of food/fluids for terminally ill individuals Must demonstrate a willingness to maintain comprehensive working knowledge regarding information systems and applicable software programs Develop and implement a nutritional plan of care which is based on a comprehensive assessment of nutritional needs as part of the patient's total plan of care; evaluate and report results appropriately Work with the referring physician and interdisciplinary group to provide appropriate counseling to individuals and families/caregivers in the home setting Evaluate and instruct on nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection and economics, and adapting plans to the individual's illness, as indicated Reevaluate nutritional care by providing home follow-up care either at the patient's residence or by phone Communicate appropriate dietary history and nutritional care data through written record systems Record subjective and objective information, assessment, treatment plan and current progress notes in the patient's clinical records, including a discharge summary Attend interdisciplinary group meetings Comply with the organization's policies and procedures
