Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Registered Dietitian.
In this role, the successful candidate Evaluate plan assess nutritional status of patients in acute care facility
Job Responsibilities:
In services dietary staff on therapeutic dietsDevelops nutrition care plans to best meet the needs of each patientReviews patient charts to obtain relevant data and medical informationMaintains current nutrition knowledge via meetings seminars CEUsProvides timely nutrition assessments when patient is screened at high risk or if there is a consult by the MD or IDC teamConducts meal rounds calorie countsProvides nutrition education on therapeutic diets and drug/nutrient interactions involves family when available and documents education properlyDocuments appropriately in patient s EMR and paper chartPerforms comprehensive nutritional assessments of high risk patientsOther duties assigned my management and/or deemed past practiceFollows set policies and procedures for patient assessment/ reassessmentsConfers with other IDC members in determining the best nutritional care for the patientsMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor s Degree in Nutrition Sciences or a related major Successful completion of a Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education CADE 1200 hour dietetic internship program with emphasis on clinical applications Registered Dietitian RD Successful completion of the RD exam approved though the Commission on Dietetic Registration CDR the credentialing Agency for ADA must be obtained within the first six months of employment Certified Dietitian/ Nutritionist CDN Must be obtained within 1 year of hire date Effective oral written communication and interpersonal skills

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $78,157.17 - $84,934.42 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
