Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Registered Dietitian - *BMT/Malignant Heme - Cancer Center/Mineola*.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing optimum nutritional care to patients admitted to general medical surgical or pediatric units through nutrition screening assessment support counseling metabolic monitoring and medical team communication Act as an ambassador for Food and Nutrition services while delivering world class care
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.Plans work assignments accordingly and utilizes time effectively.Provides assistance and contributes new ideas to the department.Functions as a resource person to Nutrition Students/Residents and medical team regarding the nutritionalmanagement of patients admitted to own unit.Participates in internship preceptorship.Provides in-service education. Actively participates in patient satisfaction initiatives, including unit rounding.Assesses patient's nutritional status/risk effectively and plans appropriate treatment accordingly.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences or a related major Successful completion of a Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education CADE 1200 hour dietetic internship program with emphasis on clinical applications Successful completion of the Registered Dietitian RD exam approved though the Commission on Dietetic Registration CDR the credentialing Agency for ADA must be obtained within the first six months of employment Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist CDN Must be obtained within 1 year of hire date Effective oral written communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Licenses: Dietetics-Nutrition-NYS, Registered Dietitian
Preferred Qualifications:
Master s Degree In a healthcare related field Preferred Certification in a Nutrition specialty area ie CNSC CDE Preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $84,213.39 - $96,728.25 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
