Registered Dietitian - Per Diem - Chula Vista

This is a casual (per diem) position based out of our Scripps Mercy campus in Chula Vista and will help support other Scripps Campuses as needed. The casual Dietitian helps support coverage for LOA's, PTO, and additional departmental needs.Flexibility to work weekends is required.

Our Clinical Nutrition team provides medical nutrition therapy and nutrition care to all patients utilizing technical skills in an acute care setting. Skills include clinical assessments, screening for nutritional risk, developing, implementing, and monitoring a nutrition care plan, education, and follow up. They provide service to patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Compliance to JCAHO Standards, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Demonstrates ability to provide appropriate age specific patient care as established for environment and job title.

Bachelors degree or Masters DegreeRegistered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration

Preferred Qualifications:

One of the following specialty certifications preferred Certified Nutrition Support Clinician CNSC, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist CDCES Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition CSR, Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition CSO, Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition CSG

Required Qualifications:
