Registered Manager Local Specialty
Manages Walgreens Pharmacy at an Employer-Sponsored Worksite. Accountable for site goals, asset protection, and overseeing personnel selection, training, development, and patient service. Builds relationships, manages clinical care, and grows the site’s business. Performs all Pharmacy Manager duties.

Job Responsibilities:
• Patient Experience
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and joyful patient experience, including interpersonal habits that show care (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., demonstrating curiosity to identify needs and proactively helping, servicing until satisfied, championing empathy and inclusivity, etc.).
• Responds promptly to patient inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Connects with patients, responding to special needs and offering services proactively.
• Patient/Clinical Management
• Leads the operation of a Premise Health Onsite or Near site Employer-Sponsored Pharmacy.
• Enrolls and follows patients in clinical management programs.
• Utilizes Premise Health reporting and workflows, ensuring team members follow through on proactive patient outreach and problem resolution.
• Uses Premise Health patient management tools to drive population-level medication adherence and condition management.
• Responsible for reviewing Pharmacy Dashboard to identify key trends in performance indicators and takes action.
• Responsible for ensuring team members' compliance with patient management documentation and abides by all compliance policies, including billing and claims submission.to government-sponsored health care programs and all other third-party payers, as well as facilitating prior authorizations on behalf of prescribers.
• Operations
• Collaborates with Pharmacy Services Director and Director of Client Operations to ensure the pharmacy’s success and maintains a working knowledge of the Premise Health pharmacy function.
• Acts as the Pharmacy Manager, overseeing scheduling, customer service, and inventory.
• Ensures accurate prescription filling and efficient service to patients, prescribers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers.
• Implements Premise Health/Employer Sponsor member engagement initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and company regulations and guidelines. Also ensures compliance with internal regulatory bodies and contracts with payers and pharmaceutical manufacturers (BOP, DEA, Medicare, accreditation bodies, compounding, FDA, etc.).; maintains required records, documentation, and reports. Ensures completion of all required reporting.
• Assures accurate and timely reporting of pharmacy and over-the-counter inventory; recommends and implements asset protection controls and maintains pharmacy condition and safety.
• Oversees cash management and ensures equipment and systems maintenance.
• Identifies key trends in population-level condition management and high-risk patients collaborate with the healthcare team to develop effective strategies for member outreach, action plans for improvement, and engagement to drive clinical improvement.
• Ensures pharmacy team participation in health center meetings and collaborates with healthcare teams for effective patient outreach.
• Manages inventory budgets, to include selecting and ordering new, promotional, and permanent merchandise, keeping the pharmacy in stock, and liquidating overstocked, slow-moving, and/or old pharmacy and over-the-counter merchandise as appropriate.
• resolves third-party claim rejections, and problems promptly and resubmits rejected claims for payment promptly.
• Responsible for developing customized OTC product assortments and displays based on each site's unique member population demands.
• Ensures accurate Employer-Sponsor formulary and inventory levels are maintained and in stock.
• Performs customized Employer-Sponsor prescription and OTC billing.
• Collaborates with the site Director of Client Operations on client invoices.
• Daily Planning and Execution • Schedules employees to ensure adequate coverage and coordinates daily activities. • Organizes Implements pharmacy organization through proper hiring and placement, scheduling of work, assignment of responsibility, and delegation of authority.
• Business Performance Management
• Submits reports and records required by the Company and government agencies.
• Business Planning
• Participates in developing and presenting Employer-Sponsor business reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
• Develops and presents best practices to & recommendations to Employer-Sponsors to improve patient experience, outcomes and reduce cost of care.
• Serves as a pharmacy Subject Matter Expert in executive-level meetings and reports on member engagement initiatives.
• Develops and implements member outreach initiatives, such as health fairs and screening events, as agreed upon with the Employer-Sponsor and with support from the Director of Client Operations and Pharmacy Services Director. • Participates in other Premise Health pilot projects, committees, or programs as appropriate.
• People & Performance Management
• Improves department performance by building employee morale, addressing complaints, and enforcing company policies.
• Ensures EEO compliance, prevents workplace harassment, and maintains open communication with employees.
• Collaborates with the Director of Client Operations to manage staffing and control payroll budgets.
• In the absence of, or alongside, the RXMO, supervises pharmacy team members; ensures proper licensure and training for Walgreens personnel, focusing on compliance with payer and pharmaceutical contracts.
• Ensures team members exceed client expectations by integrating with Employer-Sponsor cultures.
• Enforces all WBA training, policies and procedures; ensures consistency with Premise policies and procedures; upholds federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
• Training & Personal Development
• Develops team members through orientation, training, establishing objectives, and constructive discipline, fostering morale and motivation.
• Identifies and prepare team members for promotional opportunities and adapts to company needs.
• Audits personal performance and recommends objectives.
• Stays informed on pharmacy and healthcare developments and integrates them into practice.
• Participates in Premise Health training initiatives, including the annual Premise Health pharmacy managers conference, and ensures team participation in appropriate programs as well.
• Communications
• Maintains strong relationships with Premise Health stakeholders, including Director of Client Operations, Pharmacy Director, and other leaders.
