Additionally, our unit has received the UW Cares Award and many of our Registered Medical Assistants have received Rose Awards for providing exceptional patient care. Our Emergency Department is fast-paced and a great match for those interested in supporting a diverse population from our local and regional communities. We are a 22-bed Level IV Trauma Center and we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, collaborate environment where everyone’s contributions are recognized. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Performs Point-of-Care (POC) Testing, splinting, and wound care + Assists patients to exam room and documents patient history, medications and vital signs + Prepare and clean exam rooms + Assists RN with triage process + Facilitates flow of patients and maximizes operational efficiency + Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers + Assist provider with procedures and medical exams + Transports patients within hospital departments **REQUIREMENTS** + High school diploma or GED equivalent + Eligible for licensure in the State of Washington as a Medical Assistant-Registered; attestation must be completed by the applicable provider and submitted to the state within 7 days of hire.
