What you’ll do:
The Transplant Coordinator, RN assists in the post -transplant evaluation as well as the post-op follow up of transplanted patients, he/she can provide education to the recipient, and family and assist with all aspects of post-transplant care.
Assists in managing the clinical care of the patient or donor in the pre- and post-transplant phase of evaluation for organ transplant.
Reviews diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and other pertinent information in clinic and before medical review board.
Coordinates care of the patient or donor pre- and post-transplant, triages calls, and assists in medical and medication management. Available to assist with procurement of organs if applicable.
Educates the patient and/or donor on all aspects of the transplant process.
Prepares and submits all information to UNOS,CMS,JCAHO, insurance companies, etc. related to transplant service inquiries.
Performs administrative functions as preparation of QI reports, attending meetings and conferences, etc. as needed.
What you’ll need for this job:
Required: Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in nursing
Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois
Current CPR with American Heart Association
National Certification as Transplant Coordinator or other related specialty strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $48.14- $63.75 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
