Job Description

HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater is looking to hire a Lead RN to join the Family Medicine team!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing, diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and HealthPartners policy.  Accountability for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addressing situations beyond the nurse’s competency; and performing to the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected of an individual who has completed an approved professional nursing education program.  Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.  Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment of care and advocates for the best interests of individual patients.  Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.

Lead Responsibilities include:

Monitoring day to day operations of a specific clinical are at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater. This positions ensures efficient, consistent, safe, high quality and patient centered work flow of processes through the department. Lead assists with appropriate staffing, provides training and orientation of new employees, acts as liaison and leader for project implementation, maintains data and quality control, acts as a resource to internal and external customers regarding questions or concerns. This position demonstrates exceptional customer service skills to create an environment that fosters positive interactions with all internal and external customers.

Work Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm. 

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing Associate degree or diploma required 1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred Previous experience in lead/leadership role preferred Licensure/Certification: Maintain a current Minnesota and Wisconsin registered nurse’s licensure.  Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served and ensure safety of patients. Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act Critical thinking, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Fluent in EMR (EPIC) use Understanding of Nursing Practice Act and Scope of Practice for various roles
