**Registered Nurse, RN (PRN) – Labor and Delivery** _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ **Work location:** Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road TX 75093-7914 **Work hours:** PRN - Nights; 6 shifts in 6 weeks, weekends and major/minor holiday. No set schedule, coverage needs **Surgery highlights:** · 17-LDR’s (Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms) · 4 OR suites · 350-400 deliveries per month on average · Separate Antepartum/High Risk OB department · Best Place to Have a Baby designation **Here’s What You Need** · Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma · BSN preferred · 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred · RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required And · BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And · NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required And · IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Upon Hire Preferred And · ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Labor and Delivery Only 90 Days Required And · IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Labor and Delivery Only 6 Months Required And · NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required And · CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required **What You Will Do** · Assesses the patient · Plans the care of the patient · Intervenes as appropriate · Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions · Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. · Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information · Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. **Additional perks of being a Texas Health** · Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment programs as well as several other benefits. · Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice. · Strong Unit Based Council (UBC). · A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.
