Has an opportunity for a The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) trainer within our unit at Harborview Medical Center (HMC). The SANE trainer is a central member of the SANE medical team and training at Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center (HATC). **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Scheduling, Trainers, Sites, and Dates + Assist in the development of training + Present at SANE training + Participate in community education and training + Assist in grant writing and data collection + Maintain standards of WA, IFAN, and DOJ SANE Guidelines + May need to testify on cases + Take part in statewide taskforce, workgroups committees related to SANE services **SCHEDULE** + 32 hrs.- day shift per week + Occasional work from home will be considered **DIRECT PATIENT CARE** + You will provide four to six exams a month (within the areas that we cover) + One day per-month in person nursing full-up visit for adult (assist with teens) + You will evaluate, manage (medical symptoms and lab results) + Educate about self-care after sexual assault (physician support as needed) + Fill-in for TeleSANE and ATFU as needed **REQUIREMENTS** + Graduated from an accredited school of nursing + Three or more years of SANE experience + Harborview SANE training (40hr course) + Willing to travel up to two weeks per month + Willing to complete IAFN SANE within a year of hire **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
