This includes caring for patients in the Trauma Burn, Neuro-Surgical, Cardiovascular Surgery, Surgical, Medical, and Cardiac Intensive care unit, and Intermediate care units. This will include caring for patients with multiple types of illnesses and disease processes that require both physiologic monitoring and intensive nursing care. These patients often require ventilation support, hemodynamic monitoring, intracranial pressure monitoring, and fluid and electrolyte corrections, parenteral or enteral nutrition and use of multiple cardiac agents and vaso-pressive drips. Staff must actively participate as a member of the healthcare team in each of these critical care units. Staff must work closely with patients and families in each area to serve as both the critical care nurse as well as the patient/family advocate. Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire. Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
