Responsibilities include but are not limited to education, assessment, and triaging symptoms of radiation treatments for patients that the Bloomington and Bedford Cancer Radiation Centers. We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic candidate with availability Monday – Friday. Our centers are open 8am – 4:30pm typically but hours may need to flex depending on patient census. The Bloomington and Bedford Cancer Radiation Centers have three treatment units, one CT for treatment planning, and one brachytherapy treatment unit. Our teams provide excellent care to cancer patients in the south-central region of Indiana.
 

This is a PRN/supplemental role and does not qualify for benefits. 

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction. Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse. Occasional lifting 50lbs or greater as the nursing staff does assist in lifting patients with the therapists if needed.
