Merakey is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Merakey Behavioral Health Community Based Division in Bedford and Somerset Counties, in the Somerset, PA location.

 

Earn $45.02 per hour with full benefits or $47.02 per hour with the enhanced pay option. Includes mileage reimbursement.

Position Details 

 

The Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, supporting rehabilitation, treatment, and crisis intervention under clinical supervision. Responsibilities encompass delivering person-centered services, coordinating treatment activities, providing supportive interventions, and facilitating skill development. 

Support psychiatrists with clinically related administrative duties, ensuring seamless coordination across medical and support services. Key responsibilities include: Acting as a liaison between Merakey staff, programs, and external support providers. Providing medical and psychiatric consultation to staff, clients, and their natural support networks. Assisting psychiatrists in developing and maintaining clinical procedures. Facilitating the acquisition of medical and psychiatric records and pertinent information. Ensuring effective flow of medical and psychiatric information from psychiatrists to other medical providers, residential support programs, and additional support services. Delivering medication education to clients. Administering injections to clients as needed. Overseeing medication management for client care.

ACT teams consist of diverse professionals collaborating to offer comprehensive services to adults with serious mental illness (SMI). These services, including therapy, medication management, and resource linkage, are provided in the community and involve at least three home visits weekly. The Registered Nurse contributes to the holistic care approach, supporting clients' integration into society and assisting with basic needs and treatment adherence. Personal vehicle usage for client transportation and community-based work is required.
