Position Summary

The staff registered nurse is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees

Job Responsibilities

Documents a physical assessment of patient. Communicates with patients, families and/or significant others in an effort to individualize patient’s plan of care to them. Verifies that physician orders are transcribed properly and carried out properly.

Education/Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing Current State License Minimum 2 years current experience in wound and ostomy care preferred Completion of a WOCN accredited Professional Education Program or other appropriate wound care certification. WOCN certification preferred – enrollment in program should be obtained within one year of appointment with minimum of Wound Ostomy Nurse (WON) certification completed within two years of appointment.
