**Job Description**
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled **Registered Nurse (RN)** to join our clients Health Center team in San Jose, CA. RN will play a critical role in assisting Health Center Physicians with patient care and acting as a team lead to supervise ancillary staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide integrated nursing services to patients and community members while overseeing a team of healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, health education, and a collaborative work environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for triaging patient calls and walk-ins, managing patient care, and supporting various health initiatives within the facility and at off-site events.
**Key Responsibilities**
· **Patient Care & Clinical Support:**
+ Triage incoming calls and walk-ins, providing appropriate advice or consulting with physicians as needed.
+ Review lab results, images, and other test results, working with providers to address any abnormalities.
+ Perform nursing services including administering vaccines (Pediatrics and Adults), Point of Care (POC) tests, ear lavage, wound care, vital signs assessments, and venipunctures.
+ Offer health services to onboarding employees, including TB testing and administering vaccines.
+ Conduct emergency triage and support in high-priority situations.
· **Team Leadership & Supervision:**
+ Supervise and provide guidance to ancillary staff and nursing students rotating at the facility.
+ Oversee the completion of competency checks for ancillary staff and assist in the development of training materials.
+ Participate in off-site events, managing ancillary staff and nursing students during these initiatives.
· **Health Education & Community Outreach:**
+ Lead health education initiatives to promote the well-being of patients and clients.
+ Develop patient education materials and documentation resources.
· **Administrative & Other Duties:**
+ Coordinate with other departments and team members to ensure integrated and effective care delivery.
+ Assist with vaccine transportation and temperature monitoring to ensure proper storage.
+ Support the Nurse Manager in training, developing materials, and completing various projects as needed.
**Qualifications**
+ **Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred for RN, or equivalent education and experience in a related field.
+ **Experience:**
+ Minimum of 2 years of work experience is required in a primary care .
+ **Licenses/Certifications:**
+ Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California required.
+ ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
+ CPR certification required.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
+ Strong knowledge of common business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
+ Ability to deliver culturally sensitive care and build rapport with a diverse patient population.
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
+ Ability to quickly learn and use Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

**Pay Details:** $65.00 per hour
