+ DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
+ The Registered Nurse, as an integral member of the patient care team, functions as the coordinator of patient care for childbearing patients/families within the single room maternity care philosophy. Supervises, directs and delegates to other patient care team members. Has accountability for gynecological surgical and childbearing patient/family care, outcomes, and customer satisfaction. Serves as a clinical expert, role model, resource, supervisor and care integrator for the surgical and childbearing patient and her family.

+ QUALIFICATIONS
+ Professional/Educational
+ Current Illinois license with biennial renewal.
+ Minimum of one year of LDRP or LDR experience strongly preferred.
+ Basic electronic fetal heart monitoring class preferred.
+ Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
+ Certified in infant resuscitation (NRP) within 30 days of hire.
+ DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
+ Personal

+ Possesses the ability to handle emergency situations.
+ Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
+ Works effectively with others.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
