Make a Difference
The Ambulatory Registered Nurse functions as a member of the physician practice team, conducting duties such as: phone triage - will triage all calls from the Emergency Department and Transfer Center, field new consults for CHE for the Pulmonary/Critical Care group and Hospitalists, assign new patients to the appropriate attending physician and APP, facilitate transfer for outside and direct admits, and other related tasks as needed. The RN will work onsite at the pulmonary clinic located on the east side in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
-Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
-Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
-One year or more of nursing experience required.
-ICU, PCU or ED experience highly preferred.
-Previous medical office/outpatient experience preferred.
-Phone triage experience preferred.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Excellent team skills.
-Compassionate and caring.
-Accountable and self-directed.
-EPIC experience a plus.
