Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Surgery - Plastic)
**Req Number** 143144 Job Description Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for busy Plastic Surgery Ambulatory Practice. Well respected and busy Plastic Surgery Practice seeks a Full Time Registered Nurse for Monday-Friday. Position includes heavy interactions with patient and physician. Ideal candidate needs strong organizational skills and the ability to promote efficient patient flow through the practice. RN will assist the physician with patient care, consultations, procedures, tests, post operative visits and record keeping responsibilities. Prior experience working in a plastic surgery practice preferred. Job Responsibility + Reviews lab results, and photos prior to entering patient exam room. + Takes patient history and records the information in the patient's chart. + Accompanies surgeon in cosmetic consultations. + Assists surgeon in preparing for examinations and minor procedures. + Reviews pre-operative and post operative instructions and explains the surgical process to patients during the pre-operative appointment. + Prescribes medications and treatments, in accordance with surgeon protocols. + Performs patient education responsibilities and thourouhly educates on plan of care. + Oversight role of nursing and medical assistants for the practice. + Maintain policy and procedure protocols.. + Proficient in Electronic Medical Records: Epic preferred but not required. Job Qualification + Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred. Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date.Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required,plus specialized certifications as needed. + Prior experience working in a plastic surgery practice highly preferred. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
