Administer chemotherapy agents and pre-medicationsAssess lab results and vital signsMix chemotherapy agents and pre-medicationsObtain vascular access via Peripheral IV, A-port or PICC linePatient education on discharge/post treatmentTumor and registry entryPatient tracking for oral chemo and Mediport maintenanceMonitor and evaluate patients throughout infusionComplete treatment plansPhone triageAdheres to all the regulatory requirements and professional standards such as ONS as applicable to the specific area of nursing practicePerforms nursing assessment that includes the holistic needs of each patient with consideration of his/her physiological, psychological, social, ethnic, cultural, educational and spiritual strengths and needs. Includes the patient and family and/or support system in the planning and delivery of careEnsures that patient safety is a priority goal in the delivery of healthcareProvides direct patient care activities with other professional disciplines to ensure that the plan of nursing intervention is consistent with and integrated with the total treatment planAdministers medications, IV fluids in a safe and efficient manner following established policies and proceduresDemonstrates knowledge of and indications for dosage, route, action, side effects, contraindications, and adverse reactions of medicationProvides health education/teaching for patients and their designated significant othersConfers with nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team regarding condition of patients and/or any unusual events or problems to ensure continuity of careAdheres to the RPCI Oncology, PC standard for Employee ConductOther Duties:

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
