26 bed cardiac step-down unit that is part of Northwestern Medicine’s prestigious Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute (BCVI)As part of BCVI, we are able provide the same advanced cardiac care normally only available at a major academic medical center, but in a suburban settingOur unit cares for patients with a variety of cardiovascular diagnoses, including post cardiac surgeries and proceduresWe are proud to be in the country’s top decile of patient satisfaction for over 8 yearsCross training opportunities to the Telemetry Department

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Current State of Illinois Registered Professional NurseAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)Strong interpersonal skillsAbility to collaborate with othersStrong analytic abilities*Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.
