Registered Nurse Clinical Team Development

Job Description:

The primary role is to develop the Medical Assistant Teams and Medical Assistant Leads at SCL Health Medical Group Clinics with a focus on workflows, protocols and team building and development. This role will strongly collaborate with the Clinic Managers and partner with Process Improvement, Ambulatory Informatics, Pharmacy and other system resources.

Scope

Responsible for development and coaching of Medical Assistants (MA)Responsible for developing MA and MA lead clinic orientation and training materials. Maintain accountability with lead MA to accomplish orientation, education and training of MA staffCoach providers and MAs on building trusting work relationships thatmaximize patient centered careAct as a Subject Matter Expert for the MA Scope of PracticeMake quality improvement recommendations by observing workflows, studying, evaluating and redesigning processesResponsible for execution of MA role in pharmacy guidelines including vaccine administration process, controlled substances, CLIA (ClinicalLaboratory Improvement Amendments) proficiency and general medication safety practicesResponsible for identifying, creating, implementing and standardizingnecessary MA protocolsParticipate in clinic QI (Quality Improvement) meetings to support MA driven measures (for example, measures that rely on inreach) and actively participate in clinic process improvement projects that focus on the MA roleParticipate in the interview process by providing guidance to lead MAsPromotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
 

Minimum Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of NursingASN required.Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practiceCurrent Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) course completion card from the American Heart AssociationExperience working as a Registered Nurse at least 2 years


Preferred

Bachelor’s of Nursing3+ years of clinical nursing experience. Primary care nursing orSpecialty care experience preferred.1+ years of leadership/management including process improvement and change management experience.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$36.35 - $54.53
