The purpose of the Registered Nurse position is to support the physicians and\/or mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care. The RN may also assist in appointment scheduling and other related activities for optimal patient service. RN's by nature of licensure have an oversight responsibility to other clinical staff (LPN's and medical assistants).\n

Roles and Responsibilities:\n\nPerforms professional nursing care in accordance with the New York State Nursing Practice Act.\nCarries out all assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients, per practice\nTakes and records patient's vital\nPerforms triage for physicians\/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results and other patient calls per practice protocols.\nPrepares patient's record for visit and patient education, as directed by physician\/provider\nMaintains compliance regulations.\nParticipates in scheduled team meetings to discuss \/clarify roles, responsibility, processes, and patient issues\nParticipates in quality improvement activities and committees, as requested.\nProvide care management by communicating with community agencies as appropriate.\nWorks with all members of the team to achieve patient centered care as well as quality care by using the best practice standards and case management.\nThis position is Part time 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday hours will cover 7:30am-5:00pm.\n\n
Required Skills and Experience:\n\nGraduation from an accredited RN program\nCurrent NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse\nBLS Certification\n\n
Preferred Skills and Experience:\n\nBasic knowledge of diseases and treatment\nKnowledge of medical insurance carriers and how to obtain prior authorization\nKnowledge and ability to perform manual blood pressure checks\n\n
Physical Requirements:\n\nStanding-- 70%\nSitting-- 30%\nReaching- 80%\nBending-- 50%\nLifting-- must be able to lift 40lb.\n\n
Location and Travel Requirements:\n\nOnsite-1020 Craft Road, Suite C\n\n
Pay Range Disclosure:\n\n$35.63 to $44.18 per hour\n\n
