Salary: $40 - $50 / per hour
Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Novice Nurse Registered Nurse. The Novice Nurse RN (< 12 months of experience) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care in accordance with care developed for each individual patient in accordance with physician’s orders when applicable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Re-evaluates patient nursing needs regularlyUtilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted servicesInitiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber necessary revisions as patient status and needs changeIncorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on nursing diagnosis and established goalsAssures patient safety at all times and recipient of services providedIntervenes as applicable to changes in condition and reports such changes to appropriate supervisor and/or physicianAdministers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of interventionMonitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment including universal precautionsReviews plan of care, program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs as applicableDocuments all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicates this information as neededSupports profession practice by observing the following;Nurse Practice ActStandards of Nursing PracticeStandards of Patient CareStandards of Accrediting Body (ACHC, Joint Commission, etc.)State and Local LawsPatient Bill of RightsMaxim Healthcare, Nursing, and Client’s PoliciesAdheres to Maxim policy and procedure and applicable protocolsAttends case conferences, team meetings, education in-services as requiredPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursingLicense RequiredA minimum GPA requirement is expected. Authorization from Area or Regional clinical leadership should be considered when hiring an applicant who does not meet a 3.0 GPA thresholdComplies with accepted professional standards and practiceCurrent resume including clinical hours and rotationsTwo letters of reference where possible.
