Job Summary Ideal candiates would have a strong critical thinking ability. Problem solving skills, the ability to balance mutiple priorities, and strong negotiation skills are all key for this role. 2 - 4 years of demonstrated leadership ability & experience in NICU, Critical Care ED Med/Surg preferred. The house supervisor is utilized to manage both clinically and administratively the operations of the nursing department during an assigned shift in lieu of the nursing directors. This includes patient placement and the deployment of nursing resources based on census and acuity. The nursing supervisor also manages emergencies and interprets hospital policies to facilitate patient care. The nursing supervisors use chain of command including the administrator on-call for any consultation or as determined by policies. #STC Qualifications *Please note that St. Christopher's Hospital for children requires BLS from the American Heart Association. If you have BLS from another affiliation, training will need to be completed and obtained thrugh the American Heart Association before your start date. **RN positions also require PALS though the American Heart Association Training & Education: BSN preferred 2 - 4 years of demonstrated leadership ability & experience in NICU, Critical Care ED Med/Surg preferred. Supervisory Responsibility: Supervision and allocation of all personnel in the absence of Department Directors, including but not limited to: RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Unit Secretaries, and Technicians.
