Registered Nurse I - Outpatient Infusion
Departmental Overview Compensation / Benefits $25.75 - $41.42/hr based on previous work experience. Evening differential $2.50/hr. Weekend differential $3.00/hr. Our highly skilled infusion team provides a wide range of antibiotic therapy, chemotherapy, hydration, blood transfusions, and other supportive care for both peripheral and central lines. Job Summary RN essential functions include, but are not limited to: collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation. OIC RN is responsible for coordinating all aspects of outpatient infusion center as well as providing direct patient care for outpatients. Must maintain strong organizational and multitasking skills to be able to provide care for outpatients from admission to discharge. Qualifications Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Must take and pass infusion society exam with in the first 6 months of employment Experience Previous experience in acute care setting including IV insertion and infusion required. Previous infusion clinic experience preferred. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure / Certification Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Completes infusion therapy certification within 6 months of hire.
