This position requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications. Competency in central line management. Requires on-call to include overnight, weekends, and holidays. Response time is 30 minutes. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION** + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** + BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider + ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider + PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support Healthcare Provider + RN-Registered Nurse of California + Chemotherapy Certification required **EXPERIENCE** + PACU experience with recovering OR cases. + 1-year PACU or Critical Care experience as an RN required in a similar acute care setting required. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** + The ability to get along with co-workers or peers. + Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job. + The ability to recognize potential hazards and follow appropriate precautions. + The ability to understand and remember detailed instructions. + Must be able to demonstrate communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. + Must be able to demonstrate age-related competencies for neonate through geriatrics. + Must demonstrate the ability to provide education on wound/skin care and to adapt teaching techniques to skill level/teaching method preference of patient or care giver/family member learner. + Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Basic computer skills, including PC and Windows applications. + In depth knowledge of nursing process and performance improvement in depth knowledge of current wound care standards of practice + This position requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications.
