We are recruiting for the following position: Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization Registered Nurse II for MSS – Posting #26867 Hourly Rate: $39.72 Annual Salary: $82,617.60 Position Summary: Seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse for our Maternity Support Services (MSS) Program in Vancouver, WA. Maternity Support Services (MSS) community health nursing reflects a value for self-efficacy, where the nurse supports women in accomplishing self-care and decision making for the health and well-being of herself and the infant during pregnancy and the post-pregnancy period. This person is responsible for triaging pre and postnatal needs of each client and scheduling visits, including members of the Sea Mar MSS team and non-Sea Mar providers if needed.  Duties and Responsibilities: + Assess and observe client and family needs with regards to understanding of pre and postnatal care and educate accordingly. + Ongoing demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and to recognize cultural, environmental and socio-economic factors that may affect a client’s ability to receive, comprehend and retain information is essential to performance + Participate in monthly provider meetings. + Attend Community First Steps meetings quarterly. + Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. + Perform independently, effectively, and professionally as an interdisciplinary team member. + Able to identify and categorize each patient’s age-specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent, or geriatric patients. + Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. + Must be comfortable yet professional in the client’s home setting with ability to set and maintain personal boundaries. + Must document all nursing visits in the client MSS E H R. Qualifications: + BSN/RN with recent maternal/infant, community, or public health experience. + Experience in patient counseling and education, lactation consultation experience and training and/or certified Childbirth Educator is preferred. + Effective oral/written communication skills, assessment and intervention skills, ability to recognize and support health behavior change. + Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment. + Must have access to an insured vehicle, and be able to make home visits. + Bilingual in Spanish or Russian is preferred, but not required.
