Cedars-Sinai boasts nationally recognized programs in transplantation, cardiothoracic surgery, surgical oncology and gastrointestinal surgery, orthopaedics, urology and established a new training program in otolaryngology in 2019.Summary of Essential Duties:As a Clinical Nurse II (CN II) you will be a competent clinician who provides nursing care in a skilled and effective manner. Utilizing appropriate decision making skills exhibits competence in the technical,interpersonal and cognitive skills required to independently and safely manage routine patient assignment. The Clinical Nurse II establishes a plan of care, sets goals, determines priorities, and provides care within established standards of practice.Provides and accurately documents patient care services that ensures the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely mannerProvides care and patient education on disease prevention and restorative measuresAdministration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of carePerforms skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy and the initiation of peripheral venous accessObserves signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and/or general physical conditionIdentifies patient’s readiness for learning and ability to understand directions/instructions and give consentIdentifies and assesses patient safety concerns with respect to age and developmental considerations
QualificationsQualifications:Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program requiredBSN preferredLicense/Certification:California State RN License requiredBLS Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association requiredExperience:A minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience requiredMed-Surg, ICU or OR experience preferredCedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
